Theodolite hire FAQs

What is a theodolite used for?

A theodolite measures horizontal and vertical angles. On site it is used to set out building lines and grids, check alignment and right angles, and plumb columns and walls.

Theodolite or total station?

A theodolite measures angles only. A total station also measures distances and stores data. If you need coordinates or distances, look at our total station hire instead.
